The recently developed AI model Inflection-2 has achieved a significant milestone by outperforming well-established models like Google's PaLM 2 on multiple AI performance benchmarks. Inflection-2 was intensively trained using a network of 5,000 NVIDIA H100 GPUs, operating in an fp8 mixed precision environment to reach approximately 10²⁵ FLOPs of computational power. This massive training effort has placed Inflection-2 in the high ranks of AI models, surpassing benchmarks such as MMLU, TriviaQA, HellaSwag, and GSM8k. Not only has Inflection-2 marked its technical superiority, but it has also been designed for high efficiency. With strategic transitions from A100 to H100 GPUs and highly optimized inference operations, the service costs have been reduced while the computational speed has been increased. Inflection-2, being many times larger than its predecessor, Inflection-1, demonstrates advancements in cost-effective scalability.
